Michelle Lyn King was born and raised in south Florida and now lives in Brooklyn. She is a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing at Brooklyn College, where she currently teaches.

Michelle is the Editor-in-Chief of Joyland magazine.

Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Electric Literature's Recommended Reading, The Florida Review, Catapult magazine, and various other publications. She is at work on a novel and is represented by Monika Woods at Triangle House Literacy.
